Thoughts for June so far...

1. I have no interest in watching the DaVinci Code. It's only fiction, but I've heard the movie sucked. Some people have far too much time worrying about whether Jesus was married to actually have read the Bible and truly understand what he was saying. I've no problem with Jesus having a wife - He came to show us how to live with one another in peace so what could be the highest form of committment, but to take a wife and truly show us how to treat our spouse. Anyway I think someone would have recorded it in the gospels for us.

1A. I also don't think Jesus was a long haired hippie with blond hair and blue eyes. I would like to think that he looked like a normal man of the times, one whom you would never would imagine being the Son of God. One would have thought at least someone would have captured his likeness, but I think that it destroys the message he was trying to send. To me it does not matter if he was or was not black, we tend to make him in our image anyway - hence the pictures from Europe showing him as blond/blue eyed and pictures from Africa showing a dark skinned man.

2. People get really weird when you try to talk to them about religion.

3. Women are weird 99% of the time, but they're so soft and cuddly.

4. Don't get me started about hyprocrisy in the world... maybe tomorrow.

5. Batwoman a lesbian... what's this world come to!!!?????!!!!!

I think most people can't get a grip of the idea of FICTION. Like, everything you see on the internet/movies/TV/in writing is real.

Seriously, Jesus wa a simple guy born after a shotgun wedding. Who would belive it? A regular guy (of the times) "Jesus? Nah..."

Grind's favorite analogy is if we were told who the messiah is today, it might go like this: "AssGrabber? He can't be the son of God, no way! He's all crazy lookin' and works construction!"
No matter what your beliefs, I hope that makes you giggle.

Who said BatGirl's a lesbian? I don't belive it.

Yeah the latest reincarnation of Batwoman has her as a lesbian socialite by day and crime fighter by night. Personally I think it's to sell more comic books to sex crazed boys.

Rubbin, that was excellent. I don't get weird when I talk about religion, while maybe about 1% of the time. I thought I was going crazy that night but in reality, I was actually just PMSing. I also have no interest in seeing the movie. I also heard that it sucked and besides I read the book which was ok/great. But, it isn’t his best book. I think most people know that the book is fiction. And if they don’t then that’s their problem.

I actually thought the movie was pretty good. I read the book first. Ditto on people not understanding "it's a frickin story!" Makes you think though...

I liked the movie. It was a fun story. I also like National Treasure and Sahara which also got less than wonderful reviews. I would rather see some fun fantasy adventure than two good looking guys awkwardly humping each other. Ok, well, maybe not. I have Brokeback Mountain coming tomorrow from Netflix.

Omigosh, I loved Sahara! My friends wanted to go see it when we were in Boston for the, shem run, and I was being a total movie snob about it. You know I'm a sucker for load rock music.

Ass Grabber: bringer of loaves and fishes... If he were more Hebrew looking, I'd probably buy it. Not sure about Jesus, I always pictured God as an old, black woman, rocking in a chair. We had a babysitter like that. Or maybe a bear...
