26 ways to make a girl smile

Saw this in a posting off houstonconnect.com. and felt myself throw up a little in my mouth, but that's probably why i'm still single.

1. Tell her she is beautiful
2. Hold her hand at any moment . . . even if its just for a second.
3. Hug her from behind.
4. Leave her voice messages to wake up to.
5. When she is upset, hold her tight and tell her how much she means to you.
6. Recognize the small things . . . they usually mean the most.
7. If you're talking to another girl, when your done talking, walk over and hug her and kiss her....let her know she's yours and they aren't.
8. Write her notes or call her just to say "hi"
9. Introduce her to your friends . . . as your girlfriend.
10. Play with her hair.
11. Pick her up for a date if you have been dating for a while. (she loves it)
12. Get upset if another guy touches her and she doesn't like it
13. Make her laugh
14. Let her fall asleep in your arms.
15. If she's mad at you, kiss her.
16. If you care about her, then (we all know this is a challenge) TELL HER
17. Every guy should give their girl 3 things: a stuffed animal(she'll hug it every time she goes to sleep), jewlery (will treasure it forever), and one of his t-shirts (she'll most likely where it to bed) and don't forget to bring her flowers or something special once in a while.
18. Treat her the same around your friends as you do when your alone.
19. Look her in the eyes and smile.
20. Hang out with her on weekends (guys, this WILL NOT, i repeat WILL NOT kill you)
21. Kiss her in the rain (girls love this)
22. Kiss her just for the heck of it
23. If your listening to music, let her listen too.
24. Remember her birthday and get her something, even if its simple and inexpensive, it came from YOU. Even a card picked out by you will meanall the world to HER.
25. When she gives you a present on your birthday, Christmas, or just when ever, take it and tell her you love it, even if you don't (it will make her happy.)
26. Always call her when you say you will, it may not seem like it, but it does hurt her and makes her thinks you don't care so call even if you can only talk for a minute.

"when i die, i'm going to haunt you..."

stole this from the onion - thought it was hilarious.

"when i die i'm gonna haunt the fu#k out of you people"
As long as I can remember, my life has been a constant stream of insults, condescension, and humiliation at the hands of you people. Well, I'm sick of it. I may be too cowardly and weak to do anything about it in this lifetime, but I promise I'll have my revenge just the same. After I die, I'm going to come back as the scariest damn ghost you've ever seen, guaranteed—and I'm going to spend my days haunting the fuck out of you all.

My spirit will be locked in limbo, forced to wander between this world and the next until it gets retribution for its tormented past, and I can't fucking wait. Hope you like having your TV unexpectedly turn on and off while you don't even have the remote in your hands, shitheads! There won't be anything you can do about it, either. No one will believe you. They'll just say it's something to do with the old wiring in your house and you'll agree, but you'll know the truth, because it'll be me.

You better hope that I don't die for another 50, 60 years, so I don't start scaring you shitless every single night while you're still young. Unless you want a whole lot of eerie evenings, you better pray I live to be 100.

But you know what? That ain't gonna happen. My frail frame can't hold out against this kind of mistreatment forever. Someday, sooner or later, I'll succumb to your ceaseless upbraidings and die. And then you'll be in for some serious haunting.

"What's that?" you'll say to yourselves, walking to the bathroom in the pitch-dark night. "That noise—is the house settling? Is it the wind?" Yeah, fat chance, assholes! That noise will be me. You'll be consumed with a vague sense of unease until you get back to sleep. Which won't be for at least 15 or 20 minutes, if my ghost has anything to say about it. Oh, yeah, you can count on that.

I'm a pretty fragile guy, you know—I could go any minute. Maybe I'll suffer a particularly bad asthma attack and I'll die tomorrow. Then you'll have to put up with decades of sudden temperature shifts, noises in the attic, and candles that blow out for no reason before you finally succumb to the ravages of old age. You could be looking at half a century or more of thinking you may have seen something out of the corner of your eye.

Once I'm dead, I wouldn't recommend watching any Stephen King movies after 9 p.m. if I were you. The minute your mind starts filling with haunting images, I'm going to be there to exploit the hell out of them. You think those movies are scary? Just wait until you hear all the weird noises and stuff I'm going to conjure up.

If you're ever all alone in some scary place—like a forest or maybe an abandoned cabin of some kind—those creepy-ass faint moans will be mine. You'll be plenty spooked then. Even if you've gone completely bald, you'll still have hair on your arms, and it's going to be standing straight up by the time I'm through with you. And then I'll be all, "Boo, motherfuckers."

I promise you this: You'll eventually come to regret making fun of me when I was still alive.

And don't even get me started on what's going to happen if family members take pictures of you when they visit. Those pictures are going to have some weird discolorations, you can bet on that, and some of them may even contain forms that look sort of like faces. Whose face? Yours truly: Byron, avenging spirit from beyond the grave.

You probably won't even remember me by then. But that won't save you. I'll remember you to my dying day and beyond, and I'll spend my entire afterlife making what remains of your life a living hell.

Laugh while you can, you good-for-nothing sons of bitches, because your autumn years are going to be unsettling as shit.

weekly rant

posted this on another dating forum - now i'll get your responses. names have been withheld to protect the innocent.

my story... the short version.
have a dinner party with a few friends discussing paranormal stuff - ouija boards, tarot cards, ghost hunting techniques. invited a girl i'd been dating for a few months - since december. later in the evening after a couple bottles of wine one of my friends brings out some male playing cards. Me being the kind host I am kindly show the ladies my set of female playing cards as well as my autographed copy of playboy that i'm really proud of. so the night is over - i get a good night kiss and tell her i'll call next week.

next week - no phone calls, or emails returned. are women so freaked out by men reading playboy that she won't return my calls. not that i really care - just curious. one of my other female friends told me something about women having low self-esteem trying to keep up with society's standard of women ala Playboy, etc. So I refuse to date any more women with low self-esteem and that don't like the fact that men do read Playboy magazine.

just my weekly rant

Save the Date

Paranormal Dinner Party - April 21
Unless I change my mind the topic is going to be UFO's / Alien Abductions.

I have two documentaries on UFO's I'm showing. Also will try to get other UFO movies to show. Hopefully Closet Freak will bring the tarot cards and ouija board again.

Paranormal GTG

So my first impromptu paranormal get together was a success. Thinking about having monthly get-togethers / informal parties where the main topic of discussion will be something having to do with the paranormal. What prompted this was a recent ghost hunt that Sahar, Closet, and I went on recently. I thought - we should just have a small get-together and discuss this stuff ourselves. So my idea was born.
My thinking is to get a few of my friends together that have an interest in the paranormal - whether skeptics or not and have a discussion on a topic or topic that night. Maybe bring out a ouija board or have a tarot card reading.

I've been accused of being a 'party pooper' or 'negative energy emitter', but i'm just skeptical. Right going through a major issue / crisis on several topics.
1. the exisitence of God
2. Theory of Evolution vs. Intelligent Design aka Creationism
3. UFO's are they real or just imagination

I'm thinking the next topic will be to discuss God... probably the age old question why does God allow bad things to happen to good people. I have my answer, but it'd be good to have a frank discussion on the topic.

Other topics:
Exorcisms - real or imagined
Jesus Christ - did he really exist
What happens when we die
Flat Earth Theory - yes there is a flat earth society out there
spontaneous combustion
stigmata
the virgin mary (secondary topic... Pareidolia)

more topics to discuss???

The Year without toilet paper

Is this even possible in Houston. One families journey to have zero impact on the environment. Limited electricity, no toilet paper, only eat food within 250 mile radius of Manhattan.

http://noimpactman.typepad.com/blog/

NYtime article: The year without toilet paper

The blog is just launching this balmy February day of 2007—yippee!—but our no impact experiment has been going on for two and half months. So, just a little recap and update to let you know what you need to know to understand what is going on and where we’re at.

No Impact Man is my experiment with researching, developing and adopting a way of life for me and my little family—one wife, one toddler, one dog—to live in the heart of New York City while causing no net environmental impact. To do this, we will decrease the things we do that hurt the earth—make trash, cause carbon dioxide emissions, for example—and increase the things we do that help the earth—clean up the banks of the Hudson River, give money to charity, rescue sea birds, say.

In mathematical terms, in case you are an engineer or just a geek who likes math, we are trying to achieve an equilibrium that looks something like this:

Negative Impact + Positive Impact = Zero.

No net impact. Get it?

We’re taking a year to do this thing (starting the end of November, 2006) and it’s working in stages. Stage one was figuring out how to live without making garbage: no disposable products, no packaging, etc. Stage two was figuring out how to cause the least environmental impact with our food choices. Stage three is figuring out how to reduce our consumption to only what is necessary and how to do that sustainably. The whole thing gets harder and harder as we add each stage.

What will the future stages be? Who knows? I am no eco-expert. I am just a liberal schlub who got sick of not putting my money where my mouth was. In a way, the whole project is a protest against my highly-principled, lowly-actioned former self. I’m fumbling through, trying to do my best and doing the research as I go along. This blog is my attempt to tell you how it’s going.

That's pretty much everything you need to know to understand this blog. But for more details on the design of No Impact Man, the book, the movie and all of that, see the posts on the left hand side under "What's It's All About."

The Panty Closet

So last Saturday it was time to go onto another ghost hunt, this time in Liberty, Texas to view cemetaries and a haunted hotel. So I'm supposed to meet Closet Freak and Sahara at 9 in the morning. So I get up - drive the long 20 miles to Closet Freak's house and arrive at 8:45 (incidentally that's before I even get to work on the weekday). And she's only dressed in her robe, so I wait for her. Once she's dressed I get the honor of being the first to look at her new panty drawer in her closet (pictures coming very soon).
I think this is the first time I've ever seen panties neatly rolled up and sorted by color in a drawer. She has definitely earned the name Closet Freak. But the closet is very neat and tidy - unlike my closet.

89 Rules of Boozing

I won't post all 89 Rules, but I like these:
6. Buying a strange woman a drink is cool, buying all her drinks is dumb.
14. If you offer to buy a woman a drink and she refuses, she does not like you.
15. If you offer to buy a woman a drink and she accepts, she still might not like you.

you don't need to bother

Wish I was too dead to cry
My self-affliction fades
Stones to throw at my creator
Masochists to which I cater

You don't need to bother;
I don't need to be
I'll keep slipping farther
But once I hold on,
I won't let go 'til it bleeds

Wish I was too dead to care
If indeed I cared at all
Never had a voice to protest
So you fed me shit to digest
I wish I had a reason;
my flaws are open season
For this, I gave up trying
One good turn deserves my dying

You don't need to bother;
I don't need to be
I'll keep slipping farther
But once I hold on,
I won't let go 'til it bleeds

Wish I'd died instead of lived
A zombie hides my face
Shell forgotten
with its memories
Diaries left
with cryptic entries

And you don't need to bother;
I don't need to be
I'll keep slipping farther
But once I hold on,
I won't let go 'til it bleeds

You don't need to bother;
I don't need to be
I'll keep slipping farther
But once I hold on
I'll never live down my deceit

New Year's Resolutions

Anybody got any to share?

1) Get in shape
2) Find a girlfriend for the guys or find a boyfriend for the gals
3) Make more money
4) Change jobs
5) Move closer to the loop

Florida Fun

So I'm leaving Florida in a few moments and a few things strike me:
1. Nice to see not much changes with the way people act including myself and family.
2. Will put up pictures of my childhood home when I get back, an online version of the photograph video from nickelback
3. Much tougher to run in the sand along the beach than I thought
4. Was minutes away from a threesome whilst eating oysters at a bar in Destin
5. Googlemap of my trip
6. This is where I grew up

Missed Expectations

So looking back on a few moments in my life and have discovered a few times where I was not the most observant guy in the world and missed out on some good things. So you should learn from a wise or stupid man - whatever the case may be.
(1) if you have the slightest interest in someone take a chance - it might be the love of your life
(2) your soulmate might be the one person you least expect it to be
(3) women don't always come right out and say they're attracted to you
(4) always go with your heart

that's it for now
and closet freak - i'm sorry and i'll act accordingly next time.
and i promise not to let the next best thing in my life slip thru my hands:

see ya guys next week
will write more from florida next week

I'm Person of the Year

To all my peeps -
I'm Time's Person of the Year.
Thanks to my blog, my constant ramblings on myspace, and my use of the internet to achieve a sense of community and collaboration between people.
For seizing the reins of the global media, for founding and framing the new digital democracy, for working for nothing and beating the pros at their own game, TIME's Person of the Year for 2006 is me.

Crossed Signals

Was talking to someone today about mixed signals between guys and gals.
To all the women out there - if it seems like you're the least bit interested in a guy why not just come out and tell him. Guys just don't get all the flirty signals - I know women like to be chased, but sometimes we are oblivious.
I've certainly learned my lesson - and just take dates and phone numbers one day at a time and try not to get to worried about when should i email after i've gotten her email address, or phone number etc. I think some wise man once said - women are people too, treat 'em as such and you'll go far young man. So I've started to do that - and it has improved my social life - also going outside the hash to meet women as well. But that's another blog posting.

Upon my death cremate me like this...

At only 35 years of age, I have already prepared for my eventual passing. However, I feel strongly that there's no time like the present when it comes to planning one's final resting place, particularly when one is still of sound mind and body. Therefore, I would like to be cremated, placed in a black lacquer vase, and then scattered on the body of a completely naked lady.

When you read my will, you will see that it contains many guidelines for how this should be carried out. They are very specific. For instance, simply putting a woman in front of a fan and feeding my ashes through it is totally unacceptable. The event, if it goes according to my final wishes, will be respectful and somber. It's imperative that my loved ones carry it out to the letter.

I have set aside $5,000 in an interest-bearing account for this purpose so it will not be a financial burden on my family. In the event of my death in my will there will be a list of prospective female bodies, chiefly professional models. I will update this list until I am no longer physically or mentally able to surf the Internet.

Should the money prove insufficient for one of the candidates on this primary list, I will accept a local amateur from a secondary list detailed in my will. But I insist she still be held to the same requirements as for the professionals: First, she should be willing to strip down all the way and allow my cremated remains to fall upon her supple body. Second, I would like a redhead. Third, her proportions should be pleasing, but not outlandish. I don't want my funeral to turn into a circus sideshow—the focus, after all, should be on the man I was, how I chose to live my life, and how I want to be remembered. Therefore, for bra size, I would like a maximum of 36D and a minimum of 34B. A fair portion of my remains should be cast between the woman's breasts, so she should be able to create a respectable amount of cleavage without the help of a bra.

I request a relatively unblemished body with a light tan, so my ashes contrast with her naked body and don't simply blend in. Her face should be pleasing. I would prefer angelic, but if this not possible I understand, please consult my Internet history cache of female models. It knows what I like and we have discussed my wishes many time at length - while I peruse the 'net.

Contemplating this last requirement has kept me up many late nights and is not something that I take lightly. But I must request that the model shave her pubic hair in a tasteful "landing strip"-style pattern. This naked woman will be my final resting place, and it's important that this resting place is well trimmed and maintained.

On one more point I should be absolutely clear: The woman must have no surgical enhancements of any kind. Hers should be a natural body that people feel comfortable around and would like to spend time looking at.

If the woman had Asian features, that would be a plus.

And once the ashes are sprinkled on her, the woman should anoint her entire body with oil, then rub herself with it, slowly and with great care and reverence, of course. Therefore, my eternal soul will live on, in some small way, here on Earth.

One final request that I make for the funeral itself is that you find a young, female singer to sing "Purple Rain" while playing the piano. It is crucial that she has a clear, strong voice and competent keyboard skills. She should be a brunette, wear glasses, and, if there is money left over, perhaps she can be persuaded to sing topless.

Ghetto Booty

Ghetto Booty in the hash???

Now that's a booty

White girls can have ghetto booty too.

Small ghetto booty

That's what we call ghetto booty son. You'll want to hit that when you're older. Just don't tell your mom.

Spread 'em

The recent postings of Closet Freak got me thinking about booty, more specifically ghetto booty. Well not that I don't think about it every day when I'm walking down the corridors at HP checking out asses, I figured it'd be a good blog posting, as judged by the nice pictures up above.

There are several terms for what is commonly known as black girl booty - junk in the trunk, apple bottom, onion booty, ghetto booty, baby got back, teardrop ass, and thick are some slang for a nice shapely ass. It goes to say - you normally know it when you see it. I think it goes to say - I don't recall seeing much ghetto booty in the hash. Except for that one time when a new boot came to run the Heartache Full Moon and we got busted by the railroad police. Although I do see a lot of nice booty when I'm running through the third and fifth ward, as well as Memorial Park on the loop around the tennis center.

The link below goes into a lot more definition about the right proportions that define a proper booty. the link is definitely not safe for work. Ok you've been warned this time. Check out the The Assmatrix.

So if you know of any single female friends who exhibit a bit o booty - hook a brother up.

Peace Out.

The Lizard King

  • A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself.
  • Blake said that the body was the soul's prison unless the five senses are fully developed and open. He considered the senses the 'windows of the soul.' When sex involves all the senses intensely, it can be like a mystical experience.
  • Drugs are a bet with your mind.
  • Expose yourself to your deepest fear; after that, fear has no power, and the fear of freedom shrinks and vanishes. You are free.
  • I am the lizard king. I can do anything.

More Random Christmas Pub Crawl Thoughts

1. Why do I have nipple docking written on one of my business cards?
2. What is nipple docking and is it illegal in Texas?
3. Where was I on the unveiling of the boobs?
4. I did not leave my credit card at any of the bars and I'm proud of it. I have done that before in the past - at Onion Creek and it's not a pretty site.
5. Next time I'll take a cab to downtown. $6 cab rides anywhere in downtown.
6. The folks at Cabo don't take too kindly to chalk arrows on their floor.

Christmas Party Success

Ahhh -
the Christmas Party was a success. My band - Chaka MAD played and we had an excellent time. For those of you that missed it - there's always next year. I can't believe we played about 3-4 hours worth of music. Everything from Linda Ronstadt to Black Sabbath. I love Pimp Doggie Dawg yelling for Judas Priest - I promise I'll talk to the band about putting that in a setlist. And we even played AC/DC for Pipes - we were saving that one for an encore. But you never know what mismanagement has up their sleeve for other equally great events to come.

Also you never know what Closet Freak has up her sleeve for another pub crawl. All I can say is there may be another pub crawl similar to the one we laid last year. You never know with us.

Skid Row Concert at the Meridian

Nashville Pussy
King's X
Skid Row

The concert rocked. I think I've found my new favorite bass player, Karen Cuda. She's hot, a bit feisty on stage and she plays bass. After the concert she was friendly and a lot taller than I thought.
I'd never seen King's X in person, but had heard their music. They totally rock. Will definitely catch them again next time they play in Houston. Hopefully soon.
Skid Row still has it. They played some old school songs, Piece of Me, Slave to the Grind, Youth Gone Wild, a rockin' version of I Remember You. And they played a couple cuts from their recent albums.
Drank a lot - partied a lot - was about 1 foot from the stage. Had a blast.

saw the deftones tonight

Went to watch the Deftones tonight. While I had heard of them before, had never listened to their music. But watching the show made me want to create original music even more so and not play cover tunes. I didn't really enjoy the show, must've been cause I didn't know any of the songs. But I did get off on the energy they were putting out. Will have to listen to some of their songs now. Maybe it was just the sound quality in the club.

on-on to more concerts in the future
anyone want to go see skid row (80's heavy metal band) I believe they are playing next weekend... the 24th or 25th.
